The Story of a Unique Township

The establishment of Bapco (Bahrain Petroleum Company) in what came to be known as Awali set in motion many changes in the area. In time Awali evolved into a township that slowly developed into what it is today – a well-laid out, verdant township that has become the centre of many activities.

The book highlights the history and growth of the Awali township in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The vision of the author for the book was to record a period that created an enriching and everlasting bridge between Bapco and the community as an important one that had never been done before.
