Tamkeen is a public authority that was established in 2006 to reform the labor market with the main aim of supporting the development of the private sector to be the main engine of economic and sustainable growth.
Tamkeen has two primary objectives: to first foster the development and growth of enterprises, and second to provide support to enhance the productivity and training of the national workforce.
Tamkeen is driven by their 3 year strategy to empower Bahraini citizens and the private sector to grow and develop to strengthen Bahrain’s economy. A key vision within that strategy is centered around enabling the skills and employability of Bahraini citizens, as well as the productivity and innovation of businesses operating in the private sector. This concept is utilised as the annual report theme and is visualised through the use of a double exposure image treatment that depicts the core business district of Bahrain superimposed on a Bahraini national, highlighting Tamkeen’s main message of ‘Supporting an innovative future’ by showing how Tamkeen is supporting Bahraini citizens achieve their dreams and help bring new and innovative ideas to the Bahrain economy.
