Coffee Table Book (Proposal)

Alba is the world’s largest aluminium smelter ex-China with a production of more than 1.548 million metric tonnes per annum (mtpa) (2020). In addition to primary aluminium production, they also produce 530,000 mtpa of high-quality calcined petroleum coke at their own dedicated Coke Calcining Plant.

In response to the clients’ requirements, we explored a couple of design options that would communicate the impressive expansion that Alba had achieved in its relative short history. We wanted to create a book that would be visually captivating to the reader whilst also allowing key data and information to sit elegantly within the general layout of the book. High quality finishing techniques were proposed to enhance the sophisticated styling of the book such as foiling, debossing and specialised quality textured papers.
